(REVELATION 6:15,16,17.) (THE DENS AND WHERE THEY HID.) Revelation 6:15, The Kings of the Earth, and the great Men, and the Rich Men hid. All the Chief Captains, the mighty Man, and every Bonds-man sought the Priest. Every free Man hid themselves, in the dens, and Rocks of the Mountains. The mighty Men hid themselves in the dins , and in the rocks. They did not pray for the rocks to fall on them to kill them, But they prayed for the rocks, and the mountains to fall on them to hid them From THE FACE OF CHRIST AND JUDGEMENT OF CHRIST, this is a differnt judgement than the wrath of GOD in the end of time, this here they hide from here is the wrath of the LAMB. or cover them. These dens were not physically, but this is speaking spiritually. They sought to hide from their slotering of the 30 year war. This does not mean literally, but this is speaking symbolically. They sought to hide from there Slaying, even innocent Women, and Children were slain. They sought for their wrong to be covered, by seeking the Priests. They sought a Priest to give them Absolution, or Confession to justify them. They sought Priest or an Origination which was the Catholic Church, the Church was the Mountains symbolically. They sought to be justified, in thing's they did in the, Thirty-year War. After the thirty year War there was nothing, but Desolation. Every thing was laid waste, as far as the Eye could see. Thousands were slain, in their hot anger; they even slew their own Neighbors in some cases. Death was, on every Hand. Revelation 6:16, And they said to the Mountains, and Rocks, fall on us. Hide us from the, Face of Him that sits on the Throne. They sought to be hidden, from the Wrath of the Lamb, which is Christ Jesus. Revelation 6:17, For the great day, of Christ's wrath was come. Who shall be able to, Stand in that time.For the great day, of Christ's wrath was come. The Mountains are symbolic, as in Ezekiel. Ezekiel 36:1, Thou Son of man Prophesy, unto the Mountains of Israel. Say to the Mountains, you Mountains of Israel Hear the Word of the Lord. We know that the mountains can not hear Prophesy, of the Words of God. These Mountains were large Originations, such as the Catholic Churches. This was, as in Hebrews 12:22, But you are come, unto Mount Sion. You have come to the City of the, Living God the Heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to an innumerable, company of Angels. The Mountains are symbolic, meaning the Church. These Mountains were Churches of Catholism. and Rocks were the Priests. The dins the Soldiers sought to hid in were the Churches of Catholism. This was after the 30 year war. They sought to hide in the Church and the Priest to cover them spiritually.
(THEY HID THEMSELVES.) Revelation 6:15, They hid themselves in the Dens, and in the Rocks of the Mountains. These Catholic Churches in the Holy Roman Empire and elswear were the dens. These Priests were the Rocks, and the Dens, in which the Soldiers sought out to hide was the Catholic Churches. The dens and the, Catholic Churches were the, Mountains symbolically, as in Hebrews. Hebrews 12:22, You are come, unto Mount Sion. You have come, to the city of the living God, the Heavenly Jerusalem. This Heavenly Jerusalem was the Church the Elects. They sought to be cover after the Thirty year War. The Catholic Churches were the places they sought to hide themselves in. They sought to hide themselves from their guilt. These dens of thieves are, spoken of by Jesus, in Matthew. Matthew 21: 12, And Jesus went, into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold, and bought. Matthew 21:13, And said unto them, it is Written my House shall be called, the House of Prayer. You have made it, a Den of thieves. They sought a place of refuge from their awful Shame. The holy League Army, led by the Pope in East and Western Europe, the Catholic Churches became DENS. These places were DENS, for the bloody, cutthroats to hide. These were the places of refuge, to hide from their awful crimes. They knew that, only judgment was to fall on them. THE ROCKS, AND STONES. 1) A Stone is a piece of a Rock, as in 1Peter 2:5, You also, are lively Stones. You are built up, a Spiritual House. This is speaking of a Church, as a whole a group of People that are, living Stones. When the Word of God speaks of a Rock this is speaking of an individual Person, as that of Christ. Christ is the Rock, but we are the Stones. We are, a piece of Christ but Christ is the ROCK.
Just like a Catholic Priest, He is a Rock over his Doctrine, of Catholicism. The members of Catholicism, are stones, which is a piece, of the doctrine of Catholicism. Jesus is a Rock, over his Doctrine, of salvation. (3) The Priests is a Rock, as they say he is as firm, and solid, as a rock. This is speaking of an individual, as a rock. The Church as a whole is preferred to, as being the stones. For an example, as in 1Peter 2:5, You also, as lively Stones built upon, a Spiritual House. Speaking of a Rock in this verse this is speaking of an, individual Person. BEGAN TO SAY FALL ON US, AND HIDE US FROM THE FACE OF CHRIST, THE LAMB. Revelation 6:16, (And THEY said). FALL on us, and hide us from the face of him, that sits on the Throne. They sought to hide from, the wrath of the Lamb. In the Webster's dictionary the word fall, means to come under jurisdiction. This was to fall under, or to come under the jurisdiction of something. This was the jurisdiction, the Soldiers, Captains, and the mighty Men had fallen under which, was judgment.
THEY SOUGHT THE CATHOLIC CHURCHES that they, would cover them, or hide them. To hide them, and to give them there sanction, or blessings. This was to ease their conviction, of their slaughtering. This was a Priest, as a Rock in the Catholic Church that the Soldiers sought. They sought the Priest, to hide From the judgment. To hide them from the face of him that, sits on the Throne. To hide from the face of Christ, Because they had slain the Saints of God, in every way.
